There is a place for everyone, from newborns through late elementary school-aged children. On Sunday mornings there is the nursery for newborn through 18 months, toddlers class for 19 months through 3 years, preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds, kindergarten for 5 - and 6-year-olds, classes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders and a combined class for 5th and 6th graders. During the two evening services classes are set up according to need.
Our children's ministry uses the Faith Weaver curriculm. The primary advantage of the curriculum is that every class is studying the same lesson each Sunday. That way, parents can take what each of their children have learned and discuss it at home. There is material for parents on the pages the children take home each week.
Other ministries that fall under the direction of the children's ministry are the Righteous Acts drama and puppet team and the children's worship team.
The children's minisrty is headed up by Dan Mitchell who has coordinated in this position since August 2007. Dan brought a great many changes - not to mention TONS of enthusiasim - to the minisrty.
